Buzz for RISE OF THE PLANET OF THE APES has been pretty damn good so far, especially from the special effects aspect. There was a livestream yesterday from the SFX company WETA that from what I hear, blew people’s minds and today, we now have the first official trailer for the film.
The trailer is also pretty damn good and gets your heart beating, especially because you know what it’s all leading up to. That mixed with the livestream (which I suggest you click on the link above and watch the encore for at least a few minutes to get an idea of all the work put in), and we have something to look forward to.
The only thing that bothers me about the trailer is that alarm sound during the second half, which seriously just brought back images of INCEPTION and BATTLE: LOS ANGELES for me. They really need to learn to cut trailers a bit differently…
