City Removes Will Smith’s Ridiculously Oversized MIB III Trailers After Complaints

Will Smith may be one of, if not the biggest movie star right now, but that doesn’t mean he can’t piss off New Yorkers!

According to Us Magazine, Smith is on set in Soho filming MEN IN BLACK III.  With that comes a $2 million, 1150 Square Foot Trailer.  Nicknamed ‘The Heat,’ the trailer has a bar and lounge, movie room, offices, a large bedroom and granite bathroom.  It’s 53 feet long, rolls on 22 wheels and breaks the scale at roughly 30 tons.

Let’s take a second to take that in…Woah…

However, after many complaints from residents and business owners about fumes and interference, the megatrailer was removed by Columbia Pictures yesterday afternoon.  Columbia Pictures spokesman Steve Elzer said:

“This trailer has been used many times in this city by different studios on various movies over the years, and while its use has never been an issue before, we regret any inconvenience it may have caused.”

Well apparently, a few New Yorkers disagreed.  One Soho resident told the New York Post,

“How would Will Smith feel if I parked that thing out in front of his house?  People forget that this is a residential neighborhood, not a film lot.”

But that’s not all!  Smith also has an additional trailer nearby to house his on-site gym, and is renting a 5-bedroom Manhattan apartment for $25,000 per month.

Talk about being accommodated…if I were a star on a movie set, all I’d want is unlimited Kit Kats and maybe HBO…
