In just four days, the viral video “Sh*t Girls Say” has gotten nearly four million views. Whether you think the video hits the mark or not… clearly the creators, Kyle Humphrey & Graydon Sheppard are on to something.

According to the Vancouver Sun, Sheppard initially ran the idea by his sister, but she wasn’t that amused. He and his friend Kyle Humphrey started a Twitter feed anyway. That was nine months ago or so. It now has nearly 160 thousand followers.

Along the way,  as a result of the twitter feed’s success, they gained actress Juliette Lewis as a fan…  Says the Vancouver Sun:

Sheppard explained the pair first met Lewis through Twitter. In August they sent out a tweet: “Hey, where are you?” To their surprise, they got a response from Lewis. “Hey I’m in Toronto, who are you?” she tweeted.

“We met for drinks and hit it off,” Sheppard said, explaining they later shot some material in Toronto and showed it to Lewis. She liked what they’d put together and agreed to appear in the final product.

The rest, as they say is histo… er, herstory.

Currently they have no plans on ‘going Hollywood’ with the idea, (the Twitter feed for “Sh*t my dad says” was actually turned into a sitcom starring Williams Shatner, but was cancelled almost as soon as it began.) They claim they plan to do a ‘maybe three more’ videos.

I for one look forward to the next one!
