SUPER BOWL SPOT: Skechers ‘Go Run’ Ad Has Fans AND Protestors
One of the more amusing ads aired during the Super Bowl capitalized on the fact that dogs always seem to go viral on the web. But a Skechers commercial that features a French Bulldog moonwalking has animal rights advocates up in arms.
One of the more amusing ads aired during the Super Bowl capitalized on the fact that dogs always seem to go viral on the web. But a Skechers commercial that features a French Bulldog moonwalking has animal rights advocates up in arms.
In the commercial, a French Bulldog named Mr. Quiggly wins a race against several Greyhounds.
But some activists took issue with greyhound racing being featured in the spot, claiming the sport is exploitive and harmful to the dogs, some even protesting outside a Skechers store in San Diego and other cities over the weekend.
