Larry King’s Talk Show Coming Back This Summer

It seems like you can't keep Larry King away from his signature mic.

It seems like you can’t keep Larry King away from his signature mic.

After almost two years off the air, King announced yesterday that his talk show will resume this summer on the new digital network Ora.TV.

The show, now titled Larry King Now, will mark the startup of the network financed by Mexican billionaire Carlos Slim.

King said he expected the format of his show to be similar to Larry King Live, and he’s kept much of his old production staff.  The time length will be shorter, however, cut to 30 minutes instead of an hour, and will be completely flexible to go shorter or longer depending on the subject/interviewee.

The 78-year-old legend said that he misses his nightly show, and he realized what he lost on a very specific night:

The night I missed it the most, when it really hit me, was the night Osama bin Laden was killed.

King didn’t name a guest for the first night of his new show but said he’s aiming for President Barack Obama or Mitt Romney.

New episodes will be posted online at about 5 or 6 p.m. every day, allowing viewers to watch it whenever they want.
