With the scandal that rocked Hollywood still fresh in everyone’s minds, many were wondering what Universal was going to do with its next SNOW WHITE entry.  And now, we’re getting word that the studio has decided th best way to handle the situation is to drop both star Kristen Stewart and writer David Koepp altogether.

Joblo is reporting today that Universal plans to put the focus of the second film on the Huntsman role (played by Chris Hemsworth) entirely. The original plan was to have the first two films focused on Snow White, and make the third a spin-off for Hemsworth, but with recent developments, producers have decided it would just be easier to cut to the chase.

So where does Koepp come into this?  Reports say that since he was writing a story that focused on Snow White, there would be no problem getting someone new to start fresh.  (And don’t worry…he’ll get a nice severance package in the process…)

There is still no confirmation on whether director Rupert Sanders will be back as director. Only two weeks ago, The Hollywood Reporter was saying that Universal wanted both he and Stewart back together ASAP.

Awkwardness avoided.
