COOL VIDEO: Behind The Sounds Of The Avengers.
Cool, Featured, Movies — By BrianBalthazar on 2012/05/09 2:53 pmSupervising Sound Editor and Sound Designer Christopher Boyes goes ‘behind the masks’ to explain the incredible superhero sounds from The Avengers. From the resonant sound of Captain America’s shield to the distinct sound from a movement of Thor’s hammer being picked up, dropped down or thrown, effects that had been previously created for prior films were borrowed, honored and sometimes enhanced in this major blockbuster film.
See how The Hulk began as animal sounds and evolved into a specially effected combination of actual human roars. (A recipe that included Mark Rufalo, original Loe Ferrigno, Boyes himself, and a couple of guys from New Zealand!)
