“Wonder Years” Winnie Cooper Files For Divorce

Sad news to report today for “Wonder Years” fans: star Danica McKellar has filed for divorce.

MSNBC is reporting that the actress-turned-author filed for divorce from husband Mike Verta in Los Angeles County Superior Court Wednesday.

McKellar, who stole our hearts playing Winnie Cooper on the show, said in a statement to TMZ,

“I am saddened by the end of my marriage to Mike Verta. However, we are committed to raising our son together and we are focused on remaining the best parents we can be.”

She has reportedly asked for joint custody of the couple’s one-year-old son, Draco.
