Fame, especially among reality stars, can be fleeting. One minute you’re on the covers of magazines, and then, in what seems like an instant, you’re not. That may be why Farrah Abraham, once one of MTV’s Teen Moms, has apparently filmed a candid ‘adult video’ on purpose (even casting a porn actor) and (despite her denials) is accused of releasing it for money and an extension on her notoriety.
21 year old Abraham was a tabloid fixture after her run on Teen Mom, which wrapped production last year. Since then, she has attempted to stay in the public eye as much as possible, releasing a song, writing a book, posting a video her in a bra (pictured) showing how to exercise right from bed, and even marketing her own pasta sauce.
And while Abraham denies that the sex video is for publicity, she does admit that she orchestrated it all for her own personal memento to admire later in life. She was upset that her ‘co-star’ professional porn star James Deen spoke to the press and implied her intentions weren’t all that pure. Now, she is outraged… OUTRAGED!, telling US Weekly, “I personally will never have anything to do with James. I’m a great woman, mother and entrepreneur. As for the company who has a copy of my personal video, my lawyer is taking care of that matter.”
“After seeing James speaking about my personal video as a porn and not even contacting me before running his mouth, I have to say I am very disappointed,” she says. “I personally will never have anything to do with James. I’m a great woman, mother and entrepreneur. As for the company who has a copy of my personal video, my lawyer is taking care of that matter.”
Um, okay… I’m sure he’s trying. Because, not surprisingly, as opposed to fighting to get any clips taken down, or keep the full video under lock and key, she is seeking some major payola. “I will not be settling for anything less then a couple million,” she says.
Sadly, it seems there are those that think the previous pr recoveries of celebs with sex tapes like Paris Hilton and Kim Kardashian can apply to themselves too. But my guess is that Abraham will not share the same results. This is a former reality star trying to rekindle her fleeting fame with a sad act of public desperation, disguised by her own delusional perception of herself as an enterpreneur. And I, for one, think its incredibly sad.
