It’s one thing to face your fear of heights. It’s quite another to have to look at a glass of donkey semen and be asked to drink it. But that’s exactly what NBC’s Fear Factor had asked contestants to do in a recent episode… an episode which has been pulled from the schedule.

TMZ reports that the episode, originally slated to air January 30th, featured contestants being asked to drink a glass of donkey semen and a glass of donkey urine. Then, execs got second thoughts and pulled it from the air, in favor of a repeat.

“Fear Factor” host Joe Rogan had casually hinted at the stunt months ago in an interview with The Huffington Post back when the show had been brought back to TV with even more extreme challenges:

Said Rogan: “The biggest example, I can’t tell you unfortunately because they haven’t even decided whether or not they’re gonna air it. It’s really that crazy. I got there and they told me what we were gonna do, and I just started laughing like, ‘There’s no way. That’s not really gonna happen. Wait, is that really gonna happen?’ [Laughs] I wish I could tell you. NBC’s still looking at the footage going, ‘Uhhhh, can we do that?’ There’s gonna be a lot of people that are going to be upset — it really is ridiculous.”

Rogan is right. On the surface, a show that has contestants facing frightening situations would seem like a good one. But “Fear Factor,” in it’s first run, quickly became more of a ‘Grossout Factor,” favoring shock value and ick-factor over actual fear. (Oddly, it also favored contestants who looked like they were chosen more for their ‘assets’ in a swimsuit than for being compelling.) Fright doesn’t need to induce vomiting.

If I’m going to watch someone do something while wearing something skimpy, I’d prefer it not be drinking urine.

And really, aren’t there better ways to win a $50,000 grand prize? I’m sure whatever unknown bonus ingredients that are in that donkey cocktail could result in more therapy/medical care than 25K after taxes can offer.

A new clip from a MUPPETS press conference has made its way online, and it shows Kermit and Ms. Piggy saying what they think of the whole Fox News fiasco.

So, if you haven’t heard, a few weeks ago, Fox News aired a segment discussing how the new Muppet movie had a hidden agenda: it wanted to brainwash children against big business.

Let me clarify: Fox News dedicated seven minutes to discussing how THE MUPPETS had a liberal agenda, and Tex Richman (played by Chris Cooper) was designed to make children hate the oil companies. They (minus Caroline Heldman, who seems to be the only person making any sense) also said that big business has been struggling for years with these anti-campaigns, whether it be from Captain Planet or Nickelodeon’s Big Green Help, among others. (I just remember always picking up my litter and recycling…damn you Captain!!!). If you still don’t believe me, watch the clip below. It gets better.

Well now, a new clip from a MUPPETS press conference has made its way online, and it shows Kermit and Ms. Piggy saying what they think of the whole fiasco. All I can say is “Nicely done, guys…nicely done.”

Check it out below. And that Rolls Royce point was pretty damn good, too…

A few days ago, fans of FERRIS BUELLER’S DAY OFF started salivating when a random little hint of a new clip was posted online. (“How can I work on a day like today?”)

Well this morning, we have the full return of Mr. Bueller right here for you! Well…sort of…

Honda’s new Superbowl spot was just released online, and it features Matthew Broderick paying homage to all of his best moments as our favorite high school slacker. Yes, it may not be Bueller, per se, but it’s close enough! I won’t speak anymore, because hey, why give it away when we could just show it to you?

How awkward is this news conference? Let me count the ways. Yes, the bus that crashes behind them and the driver that comes out ticked off is among them.

How awkward is this news conference? Let me count the ways.

Here’s the backstory: Gaming authorities in Cincinnati were already caught in some scandal after a building accident at a new casino. The news conference was meant to calm people down a bit, talk about OSHA (Occupational Safety, blahdy blah) and get things under control. OSHA. Yes, occupational safety. Cue awkward moment #1 – a BUS drives/crashes/anitclimactically bumps into the press conference that addresses a commitment to safety.

Awkward moment #2 – after the bus crashes, one would presume that the driver MIGHT be having some sort of problem. (Did they pass out? Have a heart attack while driving? Seizure? SOMETHING.) Basically everyone just stands around first, wondering if they should go on with the press conference. But again, we’re all about safety here.

Finally someone does go back to address the bus that just intruded upon the scene, and the guy leading the newser decides to process with his important statement, when suddenly, awkward moment #3 happens: the bus driver gets out, and proceeds to tear the people in the crowd a new @#$@#$! for getting in her way. Sheepish glances ensue around the area, and suddenly I like that bus driver a whole lot, even if perhaps it was her fault.

And finally, not so much an awkward moment but more of an observation: further viewing shows journalists in Cincinnati pretty much look like they all just rolled out of bed and would much rather be watching video games or flipping through a Lillian Vernon catalog, or anything that doesn’t require any sort of business attire.

I’m not sure who was inconvenienced more here, but I’m sure the passengers on that bus are hoping for some free nickel slot credits for their trouble.

Pat Sajak and Vanna White. When you hear these names and “Wheel of Fortune”, you usually think of your grandparents on any given weeknight, no? Well now, you’ll be thinking about going to work drunk.

Sajak appeared on the ESPN2 talk show “Dan LeBatard Is Highly Questionable” on Tuesday, and admitted during the interview that he used to host “Wheel of Fortune” while drunk!

“Yes…When I first started and was much younger and could tolerate those things. We had a different show then.”

Sajak said that because the show was reliant on “cheesy prizes,” it would require long set-up times between shows, allowing he and Vanna White, to take 2½-hour dinner breaks, complete with margaritas.

“At NBC in Burbank we had a place called Los Arcos across the street — which is Spanish, as you know, for ‘The Arcos’ — and they served great margaritas…Vanna and I would go across and have two or three or six and then come and do the last shows and have trouble recognizing the alphabet.”

So does Sajak think anyone realized it? At this point, it doesn’t matter:

“I had a great time…I have no idea if the shows were any good, but no one said anything, so I guess I did OK.”

What he does know, however, is that he wouldn’t be able to handle that kind of lifestyle today:

“Now, if I were to inhale the cork in a bottle of wine, I’d probably keel over…I’m getting a little older.”

Check out the full interview below, as both of us search through YouTube and our old VHS recordings for any old 80s episodes that could possibly even hint at a drunk “Wheel of Fortune”

This year’s Oscar nominations seemed to cause a general whimper in the world of film. Yes, there were the obvious nominations (Meryl Streep, THE ARTIST, etc), but in line with those came the politics, along with some nominations deemed unnecessary, and many snubs that were deemed ridiculous.

One person to definitely not shy away from the matter is comedian Patton Oswalt. Oswalt was snubbed by the Academy for his supporting role in YOUNG ADULT (he did an amazing job, if I say so, myself), and responded with one of the greatest Twitter rants in recent memory, all starting with a direct response to Albert Brooks’ tweet about missing a nomination for DRIVE (also ridiculous).

The trail goes as follows:

“Join me for a drink at The Drawing Room, @AlbertBrooks? Me and Serkis have been here since 6am

See you later tonight. Might be out of booze — Serkis has Pogues on the jukebox & Fassbender just showed up in a pirate hat.

Oh shit — we’re DEFINITELY going to run out of booze. Charlize & Tilda just pulled up in a stolen police car.

Dude, GET DOWN HERE. Gosling is doing keg stands and Olsen & Dunst LITERALLY just emerged from a shower of rose petals.

Nolte & Plummer just drove past, mooning us. Serkis & Tilda are signing “Is There Life on Mars?”

Oops — Von Trier just pulled up in a pass van dressed as Goering. “Let’s go to Legoland!” With a boozy hurrah, we’re out!

Oh. My. God. Just pulled up to Legoland. DiCaprio’s rented the park for the day. Dibs on the Duplo Gardens! #andscene”

I think, somehow, Oswalt was able to throw in every celebrity that deserved something that didn’t get it. And yeah, every one was pretty damn true. I especially love how Nick Nolte and Christopher Plummer can be Oscar nominees and still moon everyone.

Is there anyone out there who you think should have gotten a nod but didn’t?

The Shiznet has done just that, giving us a series of altered posters of the Oscar nominated films this year, and it’s pretty damn funny.

Scroll down below for some of the best ones (TREE OF LIFE…Wuh?!), and head over to The Shiznet to see the rest!

Drew Carey is now a single man.

According to People, Carey has ended his engagement to fiancee Nicole Jaracz. A rep for “The Price is Right” host said in a statement:

“He and Nicole still have a great deal of love and affection for one another…He will still be very involved with their son’s life.”

The former couple had been dating for close to five years. Nicole has a son, Connor, 6, from a previous relationship, who Drew said back in 2010 was the inspiration for him to lose more than 70 pounds.

“I thought, I’m never going to see him graduate high school,”

The couple announced their engagement in October 2007. Carey has since been seen out and about with a number of ladies, including aspiring actress Kelley Whilden, who’s been documenting their dates on Twitter. (Hmm…going for the fame much?)

Fans of the one and only Monty Python, get ready! There will be an on screen reunion!

According to Variety, former Python members Michael Palin, John Cleese, Terry Jones, Terry Gilliam, and Eric Idle are going to reunite for ABSOLUTELY ANTHING. It’s not exactly a Monty Python film, but will feature a group of aliens (voiced by Python), who endow a Frenchman with the power to do “absolutely anything” to see what a mess he’ll make of things — which is precisely what happens.

If that’s not enough to convince you, Robin Williams is in talks to play the Inspector Clouseau-ish Frechman, and has already signed on to be the voice of a talking dog named Dennis, who seems to understand everything that’s going on.

As of now, everyone in the group except for Eric Idle has signed on. Jones is set to direct.

And now, (thanks to JoBlo making me remember it), a classic moment, all thanks to Graham Chapman:

A little part of my soul just jumped up with happiness.

Following Volkswagen’s teaser for their STAR WARS SuperBowl ad, another company has just released a YouTube teaser for their own ad, featuring the one and only Matthew Broderick as Ferris Bueller.

The video was posted on a YouTube channel called chuckachucka2012. It has Broderick (or Bueller…whichever you prefer) opening the curtains in his bedroom, looking into the camera, and saying “How could I work on a day like today?”

According to the automotive blog, Jalopnik, a source “familiar with Honda’s operations” said that the commercial is for Honda, saying “the spot was going to mimic much of the original film, except this time prominently featuring Hondas…The big jump the two valets do in Cameron’s dad’s Ferrari? We hear this time it’s going to be a Honda CR-V.”

Until February 5th, however, we are left with this…

Bow bow.
