Beavis And Butthead Are Coming Back To MTV.

Formerly obnoxious and nowadays relatively tame cartoon characters Beavis and Butthead are returning to MTV!

Series creator Mike Judge created the show, which started airing back in 1993. It faded into obscurity, and Judge’s later creating “King Of The Hill,” which was spawn of the original (Hank Hill was frequently terrorized by the duo) eventually became the more popular of the two.

Now after months of rumors (it takes a while to get these things going, as you know!) MTV let the cast of “Skins” announce that the series would return later this year. No word on whether it’s signature, scrappy and raw style of animation would be replaced by more modern approaches to cartoon production.

By the way, many people learned of the announcemnt by none other than Justin Bieber. The teen hearthrob, who was THREE years old when B and B was making its exit, tweeted it about it. Despite his seemingly excited tone, you have to wonder if he knows that Beavis and Butthead would have hated his music.

The tweet in question:

Everything old is new again! (Tell that to my skin, please…)
