Rebecca Black Hit “Friday” Gets The GLEE Treatment. And Black Gets A Sweet New Gig.

You read that right! The Rebecca Black viral hit “Friday” just got another shot in the arm, as the 13 year old singer’s much debated single will be featured on GLEE for an episode about the prom. (Or simply ‘Prom’ as some kids apparently say.

Turns out, though, that the guys, and not the girls on the show will be singing the song… including Kevin McHale, Chord Overstreet and Mark Salling.

Despite some harsh criticism, and some regrettable songwriting, there’s no denying (at more than 100 million views so far) that the song has become part of the pop culture lexicon of this year. (At this rate, the decade…)

Black, who has been a trooper (a fairly excited… so excited trooper in fact) about the song and it’s critics has also landed herself a gig on the orange carpet for Nickelodeon’s Kids’ Choice Awards. She was handpicked by Ryan Seacrest’s production company.

Let’s work on getting Rebecca another solid million views, shall we???
