Ryan Dunn Updates: 23 Driving Citations, A Suspended License, and 130 MPH

New reports are coming in today about the crash that killed “Jackass” star, Ryan Dunn.

According to TMZ, an accident reconstruction team has determined that Dunn’s car collided with the guardrail at about 130MPH, before it crashed in the woods and burst into flames.

Police Chief Michael Carroll told reporters that the crash was catastrophic, saying,

“I’ve never seen a car destroyed in an automobile accident the way this car was even before it caught on fire…The automobile actually came apart. It was unbelievable and I’ve been on a lot of fatal accident scenes. This is by far the worse I’ve ever seen.”

It is also being reported that Dunn had received at least 23 driving citations in the 13 years before the accident, ten of which were for speeding and careless driving, and three more were for driving with a suspended license. Ninety percent of these ended in guilty pleas.

He was also arrested in 2005 on DUI, but charges were dropped when he completed a probationary program.

According to the L.A. Times, the official coroner’s report confirms that blunt force trauma and thermal trauma were the official causes of death in the accident.
