It is being reported that Russell Armstrong, the estranged husband of “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star Taylor Armstrong, was found dead last night of an apparent suicide.
According to TMZ, Armstrong was found hanging in his bedroom on Mulholland Drive by his roommate, who called 911. Law enforcement sources say no drugs, alcohol or a suicide note were found in the bedroom, and he was fully clothed when his body was discovered by  the L.A. City Fire Department at 8:16 PM Monday.ÂÂÂ
Russell’s wife, Taylor, filed for divorce from him last month after she claimed she was physically abused.ÂÂÂ
Taylor’s attorney, Robert Thorne, tells TMZ,
“Taylor Armstrong is devastated by the tragic events that have unfolded. She requests privacy at this time so that she may comfort her young daughter.”
Russell was 47 years old. We’ll have more information as this story develops.
