Steven Tyler Wants You To Know That Fall Was NOT Drug Related!

When you have a history like that of Steven Tyler, it's pretty safe to assume that some sort of drugs are involved in any news story. Well according to him, that is definitely NOT the case with his fall this weekend.

When you have a history like that of Steven Tyler, it’s pretty safe to assume that some sort of drugs are involved in any news story.  Well according to him, that is definitely NOT the case with his fall this weekend.

The Aerosmith frontman called into the “Today” show this morning to make sure that everyone know that he did not fall off the wagon in any way, shape or form, and the fall was merely a matter of food poisoning:

“Quite frankly, I passed out. I was in the shower, I got nauseous, I started to get sick, I fell on my face…What’s it called when you eat something, Montezuma’s revenge? I took a walk with the Inca’s for 48 hours. I walked in looking like [Mikhail] Baryshnikov and walked out looking like Leon Spinks.”

Tyler’s manager called the American embassy and took the 63-year-old rocker to the best hospital in the Paraguay capital of Asuncion.  Tyler says they did a great job!

“It was like one-stop shopping…They stitched up my eye, they did a little plastic surgery and they fixed my tooth all in one fell swoop.”

The singer may have had to cancel Tuesday night’s Aerosmith concert, yet he was ready to go last night.  While he showed up on stage at first with sunglasses, it only took a few songs to get him to take them off, all to rousing applause.
