Taylor Armstrong Says “Real Housewives” May Have Saved Her Life From Russell

Only a few weeks ago, Russell Armstrong’s death rocked the world of “Real Housewives”.  Fans were stunned, and Taylor Armstrong was in mourning, despite all the problems they were going through.  But then rumors and reports of abuse started to surface, and now, Taylor Armstrong is speaking out, saying that she thought her life was even at stake.

During a new interview with KTLA-TV, Armstrong says that there was a completely different part of her life with Russell outside of the Bravo cameras:

“There was a storm happening in my life that was very separate from a camera being there…I was in an abusive relationship for six years and that was going on…”

Taylor goes as far as saying that if it hadn’t been for the cameras, she may have not been alive today…and it could have been her doing:

“If the cameras were not in my life, I might not be sitting here today. A lot of domestic violence situations end in murder-suicide, versus just suicide. I have my daughter with me today, and by the grace of god and, perhaps, reality TV, I’m sitting here and so is she.”

Taylor only started speaking out about her abuse after Russell’s death, saying that she has a titanium implant holding up her right eye due to an injury by him.  When asked about the backlash of coming forward and advocating so soon after his death, Taylor says:

“I spent five weeks in my house…We’re all put on this earth with a plan, a mission, and we’re handed a very specific mission through a tragedy. And If I don’t do something with it I’m not doing right by other women, and men, who might be in a dangerous situation.”

Russell hanged himself in August in his home.
