Conrad Murray is Too Poor to Fund an Appeal

After everything else he's been through and all the money he supposedly had, it turns out that Michael Jackson's doctor can't even afford a lawyer.

After everything else he’s been through and all the money he supposedly had, it turns out that Michael Jackson’s doctor can’t even afford a lawyer.

According to MSNBC, Dr. Conrad Murray asked yesterday for a publicly-funded lawyer to handle his appeal because he could not afford one himself.

Dr. Murray filed papers with Los Angeles Superior Court saying,

“The defendant is indigent and respectfully requests the appointment of counsel on appeal.”

Dr. Murray is serving a four-year jail term for the involuntary manslaughter of Jackson in 2009.  He said he wished to appeal both his conviction and his sentence.
