QUILL: THE LIFE OF A GUIDE DOG is a Japanese film based on a true story about a sweet yellow Labrador Retriever named “Quill” who is destined to become a guide dog for the blind. It tells the story from litter to his selection as a guide dog shortly after his first birthday. From learning the ropes, to being paired with a reluctant man blind man named Watanabe, it’s already clear that the dog wins his new owner over. I don’t think it’s a stretch to guess that there will be no shortage in the water works department by the time this thing wraps up.

Look for it (probably in indie film houses) on May 18th.
