Anna Faris Will Not Be Returning For SCARY MOVIE 5
I have no idea why, but for some strange reason, studio execs are moving forward with a SCARY MOVIE 5. And while Anthony Anderson, Regina Hall, and Kevin hart are all in talks to return, the real question on everyone’s mind (okay, maybe not everyone…okay…maybe not anyone…) is will series star Anna Faris return?
In a new interview with ComingSoon, Faris revealed that while she would love to play Cindy Campbell again, it appears that the studio is not interested in bringing her back:
“No, I don’t think I’m going to do it…I don’t think I’m part of that. I don’t know exactly what’s happening with it.”
That is all fine and dandy with me. Personally, I think the SCARY MOVIE franchise has gone downhill since the Wayans brothers left, and while everyone involved could probably do better, Faris is the main person that has proven she could really bring the comedy with better material.
Faris’ new movie, THE DICTATOR, hits theaters on Friday. SCARY MOVIE 5 will hit theaters in January 2013.
