According to Us Weekly, the four octave songbird will be getting a massive payday of $18 million…making her the highest paid judge on any music competition show.
Britney Spears was the former pay queen, with an approximate $16 million take for her “X Factor” season. Carey’s predecessor, Jennifer Lopez, took in about $12 million dollars for each of her “Idol” seasons, while Christina Aguilera negotiated for $10 million for the third season of “The Voice.”
The deal also includes a one-year option.
