Michael Clarke Duncan, an Oscar nominee for his role in the film “The Green Mile,” has died while in his second month of treatment following a heart attack. He was 54. Duncan never fully recovered from a heart attack he suffered on July 13 and was in the hospital when he died.

According to TMZ: “his passing came very suddenly. We’re told his fiancee, Omarosa Manigault, was with him in his hospital room in Los Angeles and left for a short period of time. When she returned … he had died.”

Duncan began his Hollywood career working as a bodyguard for celebrities like Will Smith, Martin Lawrence, Jamie Foxx, LL Cool J, and Notorious B.I.G.  The 6-foot-5, 300 pound Duncan also appeared in the films “Armageddon,” ”Planet of the Apes” and “Kung Fu Panda.”

The process is incredible, and yet still relatively in its infancy. If things keep progressing this genre as we can only expect they will, it’s not a stretch to imagine that we could someday see an actor actress play a younger version of themselves so convincingly we won’t see how they did it.
