Access Hollywood is reporting that the “How I Met Your Mother” star will return to host the 65th Primetime Emmy Awards this September.

It won’t be his only hosting duty this year: the legen-wait for it-dary actor/performer will also be leading the Tony’s only three months earlier, something he joked about in his official statement:

“I couldn’t be more honored and excited to be hosting this year’s Emmy Awards…And what perfect timing – I’ll just do the exact same script I’m about to use for the Tonys. ‘And the Emmy for Best Revival of a Musical goes to ‘Breaking Bad!’ See, told you it works.”

I could definitely see “Breaking Bad” winning best Musical, can’t you??

CBS sang its praises for their next host, with Nina Tassler, President of CBS Entertainment saying in a statement,

“Neil is the quintessential host – engaging, entertaining and a true showman – with a passion for celebrating the medium we all love. We’re thrilled for him to return for CBS’s broadcast of the Emmy Awards.”

This will be the second time Neil has hosted the Emmys (the first being back in 2009).  He also previous hosted three Tony Awards show, one TV Land Awards ceremony, and opened the Oscars with a musical number.

The 65th Annual Emmy Awards will be broadcast live from the Nokia Theater L.A. in Los Angeles on Sunday, September 22.
