Debra Messing seized the moment during the Golden Globe Awards red carpet! While being interviewed by E!, she took control of the interview to point out that E! itself has come under fire for not paying former correspondent Catt Sadler the same salary as her male co-host.

Sadler left the network in December because she said her male colleague, Jason Kennedy, was paid twice as much.

E! had previously said in a statement that it “compensates employees fairly and appropriately based on their roles, regardless of gender.”

Messing, whose NBC show “Will and Grace” is owned by the same company that owns E!, has never been afraid to speak out, even when who she’s speaking out against is within the NBC family. Back in September she was upset after being booked to appear on Megyn Kelly’s hour of the Today Show. She was later upset over a joke Kelly made that she believed insulted a gay Will and Grace superfan. She later said she wished she had never been on that hour of the Today Show in the first place.

“Honestly I didn’t know it was MK until that morning,” Messing said on twitter. “The itinerary just said Today show appearance. Regret going on. Dismayed by her comments.”
