Ladies and gentleman…the bitch is back! Has he ever even left? The legendary Elton John has been a staple in the music world since his rise to fame in the late 60’s. His journey to stardom will be documented in a new biopic aptly named Rocketman.
The film follows John’s early years as a musical prodigy at the Royal Academy of Music and continues through his rise to stardom. The film stars Taron Egerton as the “Rocketman” himself, Jamie bell as lyricist Bernie Taupin and Bryce Dallas Howard as Elton’s mother, Sheila Eileen. The film is packed with all of John’s greatest hits, along with his most memorable costumes. The trailer ends with a coy twist stating that the film is “based on a true fantasy.”
The film isn’t expected to hit theaters until May 2019, but it looks like it will be worth the wait! Take a look at the trailer below!
