Over the past 14 years we have been introduced to over 110 housewives from the Real Housewives franchise. Some housewives are more memorable than others. Hell, some franchises are more memorable than others. While the original cast members from each franchise tend to get a lot of the glory (i.e Nene Leakes, Bethenny Frankel, Vicki Gunvalson etc), there are some newer additions that make you wish you knew them from day one. In the case of the Real Housewives of New Jersey, I wish Dolores Catania had been representing the Garden State all along. Quite FRANK-ly (Dolores fans will appreciate that), I even think we could all stand to be a bit more like her.
She’s loyal.
You have to take housewife friendships with a grain of salt. We have seen many a friendship dissolve right in front of our very own eyes simply because the ladies love some drama. Well Dolores has proven true friendship does exist. Not only has she been besties with Teresa Giudice for over twenty years but she stayed true to Siggy Flicker even after Siggy went…uhm…off the rails.
She’s not here for the BS.
It’s easy to get caught up in the glitz and glam of television but Dolores remains unfazed. She stays true to herself and is quick to shut down all and any nonsense. She even managed to coin my favorite new catchphrase while doing so.
She’s got a lot of love.
Dolores loves her family. Dolores loves dogs. Dolores even loves her ex husband Frank. While their unusually amicable relationship has raised a few eyebrows over in NJ, it’s clear that Dolores is just a big softy under that well trained physique…with a really hot son.
She’s congenial. She has an award to prove it and everything.
Dolores just seems like a girl you can hang with. She’s one of the few housewives who will film scenes without a face full of makeup. Who knew you didn’t need two full sets of lashes and a bold lip just to whip up some eggs. Dolores was even awarded Miss Congeniality in the 2018 Real Housewives Awards!
I can’t wait to see what Dolores brings to the table this season on the Real Housewives Of New Jersey. Word is that this season is going to be the craziest we’ve seen in a long while.
