Heroin, Marijuana and A Gun Are Found On Nelly’s Tour Bus

Don’t celebrities get it?!  If you’re going to drive through Texas, don’t bring drugs on your tour bus!!

NBC News is reporting that rapper Nelly has become the next in a list of celebrities who have been caught with drugs by border patrol.

A spokesman for the Hudspeth County Sheriff’s Office says that Nelly’s 2007 Black Prevost tour bus was stopped in Sierra Blanca yesterday evening when a canine unit detected the narcotics.

The vehicle was stopped, and upon searching, officers found a cardboard box that contained not only a small plastic bag of pot, but 36 Ziploc bags of heroin and a loaded .45 caliber pistol.

One of Nelly’s posse, Brian Keith Jones, admitted to owning the drugs and gun and was arrested at the scene.  Nelly released a statement to TMZ, saying that he had no idea the items were even in his possession:

“It is my understanding a member of my staff made an unfortunate decision to bring unlawful materials onto our tour bus that resulted in his arrest this morning…Neither I nor anyone else on the tour bus was aware of his decision to bring these on board. Law enforcement officials did not press charges against anyone other than that individual.”

Nelly and crew join a long list of celebrities stopped at the Sierra Blanca check point, including Fiona Apple, Willie Nelson and Armie Hammer.
