New pictures from the set of THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2 are hitting the web today, and while they may not seem like anything special at first, the clothes Gwen Stacy is wearing seems to be a huge sign of things to come.
Joblo pointed out that the wardrobe Emma Stone has on is eerily similar (hell, almost identical) to the clothes her character wore when she was killed by the Green Goblin in “The Night Gwen Stacy Died”.
While some hope that it might be a case of director Marc Webb just messing with the fan boys, also take note that the scene being filmed that day took place at the Manhattan Bridge…the exact location of Gwen Stacy’s death.
So the big question now is with all these clues, the possibility of the Green Goblin showing up (in the form of Chris Cooper, nonetheless), and the introduction of Shailene Woodley as Mary Jane Watson, could Gwen Stacy actually die by the end of this sequel? And if so, how on earth will Marc Webb play that without fans absolutely hating Peter Parker for not keeping his promise to a dying George Stacy?
