POP Video: Dancing Couple Clearly Have Been Doing This Together For 20 Years.

I love watching people dance. More than professionals, I enjoy the amateurs who totally ‘own’ it. Not the “I’m so sexy – watch me dance” people, but the “I feel this music so hard that suddenly I know not what I do” kind of dancers.

This video is all kinds of awesome. They’re dancing in a place called “The Pyramid Lounge” (isn’t that enough?!?) to the song “I Wanna Dance With Somebody.”  The guy, well, he speaks for himself. The gal, she whips out her lighter precisely during the “I wanna feel the heat” line. A stroke of genuis that brings to mind a bit of Def Leppard-like showmanship. Kudos, lady. 

The band is called “The Time Machine Band” and according to their youtube comments, this couple goes to their performances all the time. So clearly, they need some sort of backup dancer kickback.

Note, there is no climactic moment. Just four  minutes and twenty nine second of dance heaven. Thanks to this couple, I do, in fact, wanna dance with somebody.
