After a long wait (and many shows across the country insulting her), Charlie Sheen is officially divorced from Brooke Mueller.
According to TMZ, the divorce was completed today, a full six months after the first petition was filed.
Mueller will reportedly receive $55,000 a month in child support from Sheen for their twin boys. An interesting aspect to note in the legal papers: a clause that says “under no circumstances shall the child support paid by Charlie for Bob and Max be less than the child support paid by Charlie to [Sheen’s ex-wife] Denise Richards for [daughters] Sam and Lola.”
In addition to the monthly child support, Mueller also received a one-time payment of $757,698.70 (yes, that 70 cents is apparently very important…*cough*) and $1 million for her share in the couple’s home, which Sheen will keep.
This ending comes after what seems like the longest and most eventful six months in a couple’s divorce EVER. We had binges in no less than three states by Sheen, rehab trips on both sides, and cops pressed to take away the children from both parents.
The only question is what the next six months will bring, and if it could possibly be more eventful…
