Paris Hilton’s Burglar is Going to Jail!
Paris Hilton: Worry no more. The man convicted of attempting to burglarize your home last August is going to jail.
According to E! Online, Nathan Lee Parada was found guilty of felony attempted first degree burglary in April.
The prosecution argued that Parada specifically came to Los Angeles for his plan. He bought a star map to locate Hilton’s Hollywood home, and walked to the heiress’ house armed with two knifes.
In an interview conducted after he was apprehended, Parada said he wanted to “get money to go live on a deserted island.”
Both Hilton and then-boyfriend Cy Waits were home during the intrusion. Waits testified about the incident, explaining exactly what happened:
“I drew the gun on him and I screamed at him to drop the knives,”
Hilton went to call the police while Waits went outside to try to talk to the intruder:
“I was polite in the beginning…He turned around and smirked and that is when I saw he had two large knives, a large steak knife and a large buck knife.”
Parada received two years in prison.
