Green Day’s Billie Joe Kicked Off Flight for Sagging Pants - POP GOES THE WEEK!!

Green Day’s Billie Joe Kicked Off Flight for Sagging Pants

Sagging Pants.  Enough of a terror threat to get you kicked off a plane.  Or at least for Green Day front man Billie Joe Armstrong.

According to Today, Armstrong was tossed from an Oakland-to-Burbank flight when he refused a flight attendant’s request to pull up his pants.

An ABC7 news producer on same flight told the station that Armstrong initially responded by asking the attendant if there weren’t “better things to do than worry about that?”

When Armstrong said that he was just trying to get to his seat, he and a friend were removed from the plane.

He tweeted the situation to his fans, saying,

“Just got kicked off a southwest flight because my pants sagged too low! What the f—? No joke!”

Southwest spokesman Brad Hawkins released a statement saying Armstrong was allowed onto the next flight to Burbank:

“As soon as we became aware of what had happened, we reached out to apologize for this Customer’s experience…He elected to take the next flight. We followed up with this Customer and involved Employees to get more details and, in our latest conversations, understand from the Customer the situation was resolved to his satisfaction.”

So sagging pants can get you kicked off a plane, but a man wearing women’s panties and stockings doesn’t?  Thoughts?
