Disney to Bring Back LITTLE MERMAID, FINDING NEMO, BEAUTY AND THE BEAST, and MONSTERS INC for 3D

Despite the fact that 3D films are almost definitely heading down the drain, THE LION KING 3D was a huge success for Disney.  And with that comes news of new rereleases for other Disney classics.

According to JoBlo, Disney and Pixar has decided to re-release four other films in 3D over the next three years:

BEAUTY AND THE BEAST – January 13, 2012

FINDING NEMO – September 14, 2012

MONSTERS INC. – January 18, 2013

THE LITTLE MERMAID – September 13, 2013

So the question is…in 2013, will 3D even be relevant enough to warrant such a re-release?  Or will the fact that these classic films will be back on a big screen enough to draw in a crowd?
