Yikes. Snarky Whitney Houston Themed Card Gets Pulled

A snarky card referencing Whitney Houston’s troubled life was pulled from Target stores after her death. Even though it came out before she died – it’s wrong regardless of the timing.

The card reads: “Next time you think of dating the bad boy, consider Whitney Houston.” (An reference to her troubled marriage to Bobby Brown.)

The card was in stores before Houston died on Feburary 11th, but still – how weird is this? Some greeting card writer is really stretching for ideas. And what ‘category’ would this be under?? Love? Relationships? What. The. Hell?!?

Target quickly pulled the card, (with the exception of one photographed by a shopper that has since gone viral online hence this story…) and then released a statement: “It is never our intent to offend guests with the products we offer, and we take feedback from guests very seriously.”

And there you have it.
