It is being reported today that singer LeAnn Rimes has entered a treatment program to deal with stress.

Access Hollywood is reporting that Rimes, who just turned 30, has entered a 30 day in-patient treatment facility.  The singer’s rep, Marcel Pariseau, said in a statement:

“LeAnn has voluntarily entered a 30 day in-patient treatment facility to cope with anxiety and stress…While there will be speculation regarding her treatment, she is simply there to learn and develop coping mechanisms. While privacy isn’t expected, it’s certainly appreciated.”

Pariseau stressed that Rimes is not seeking treatment for any type of substance abuse or eating disorder.  The singer told People:

“This is just a time for me to emotionally check out for a second and take care of myself and come back in 30 days as the best 30-year-old woman I can be…All the things in my life will be there when I get out, but you know what? I’m hoping they’re not going to affect me as much. I’ll have the tools to know how to deal with them.”

Actor Eddie Cibrian, Rimes husband of one year, told the magazine that he was very proud of his wife’s courage:

“My wife is the most remarkable and courageous woman I know…I am so proud of her for having the strength to finally take some time for herself. I will be with her every step of the way.”

Rimes was greatly scrutinized after having an extramarital affair with Cibrian back in 2009, which caused him to end his eight year marriage to ex-wife and mother of his two children, Brandi Glanville.  She spoke about the affair in June 2010, saying, “I take responsibility for everything I’ve done. I hate that people got hurt…But I don’t regret the outcome”.
