Despite numerous rumors at the time that his death was drug related, we are now getting word that Sage Stallone, the 36-year-old son of actor Sylvester Stallone, died of natural causes.

The LA Country Coroner released a statement saying that toxicology reports revealed no drugs found in Sage’s system, and that he actually died from atherosclerosis, caused by a heart attack.  There was, however, clear evidence of heart disease.

Sage was found in his Los Angeles apartment July 13th.  After making his acting debut alongside his father in ROCKY V, Sage went on to act in DAYLIGHT and become a successful director, producer and writer.   Just a few weeks after Sage’s death, Sylvester Stallone’s 48-year-old half-sister Toni Ann Filiti passed away from lung cancer.

  • I remember when this child was born. Loosing a child is something i don’t think i could bear. Our hearts goes out to the family. It’s time to gather the remaining families members with a visit to the doctor and everyone should have a complete head to toe check.
    Rest in peace Sage.
