VIDEO: “I Dreamed A Dream” Parody Spells Out Anne Hathaway’s Oscar Hopes
If you’re one of the millions who have seen LES MISERABLES already, you know that Anne Hathaway is on track for Oscar gold. Already winning the hearts of the Screen Actors Guild, the Hollywood Foreign Press and the Critics Choice voters, it is all but guaranteed that after February 24th, we will all be calling her “Oscar winner Anne Hathaway”.
And with such an obvious outcome, there comes some major fun, as in this new parody on Hathaway’s performance of “I Dreamed A Dream”, which basically changes all the lyrics to show Hathaway stand-in Emma Fitzpatrick making her case to the Academy.
Some winning lines include, “I coughed and wheezed and cried in every scene until I died,” and, “I lost half my body weight but then they never did a wide shot.”
Check out the hysterical video below, and make sure you catch the 85th Annual Academy Awards live Feb. 24 at 7 p.m. ET on ABC.
