Hundreds Of Unopened Taylor Swift Fan Letters Found In A Nashville Dumpster
Have you ever written a fan letter to a celebrity, and never heard back? Have you wondered what could have possibly happened to your letter on the way to your favorite star or starlet?
Well if you’re one of the many who wrote letters to Taylor Swift over the past few weeks, your envelope might have just ended up in the trash.
WKRN in Nashville is reporting that hundreds of unopened letters addressed to Swift were found in a dumpster outside a local Nashville school this week. The address on all the letters was for a nearby P.O. Box checked often by a member of Swift’s team.
So what could have happened to land all that happy fan mail in the dumpster? Paula Erikson, a spokesperson for Swift, told the radio station that it all was probably just a huge mistake:
“The only explanation for any letters being unopened would be that a small batch of mail that was supposed to be delivered to Taylor was accidentally put with letters headed for the recycling center. We sincerely appreciate Channel 2 bringing this to our attention, and we plan to immediately pick up the mail.”
And obviously now, Ms. Swift will write a personalized answer to every single one of those letters… because, you know, that’s what obviously happens with fan mail.
