Nobody seems to do better Biopics these days then HBO, between the recent success of the Al Pacino starring PHIL SPECTOR and the Alfred Hitchock-Tippy Hedren THE BIRDS biopic THE GIRL.
Now HBO is taking on Liberace and we finally have our first look at Matt Damon and Michael Douglas who are Starring in BEHIND THE CANDELABRA, which exposes the 6 year relationship between Liberace (Douglas)and his young lover Scott Thorson (Damon). The film was directed by Steven Soderbergh (OCEANS 11) and written by Richard LaGravanese (P.S. I LOVE YOU). The cast is amazing, and the story looks compelling.
BEHIND THE CANDELABRA also stars Rob Lowe, Dan Aykroyd and Debbie Reynolds, and will be shown on HBO on May 26th.
