Report: Real Housewives Of NYC End Salary Holdout, Agree To Smaller Pay Increases
It appears that the Real Housewives Of New York City have learned an important lesson: you can be replaced.
After reports that the cast of the RHONY were holding out for a lot more money for another season by delaying production, Bravo allegedly reminded that that not only did they make them stars, they could just as easily make another group of housewives stars and replace them.
Series stars Aviva Drescher, Carole Radziwill, Heather Thomson,LuAnn de Lesseps,Ramona Singer, and Sonja Morgan apparently had been given an ultimatum: sign their contracts by Friday, or be recast. That was apparently all they needed to hear.according to Deadline Hollywood. The wives accepted the modest pay increases, and Bravo reportedly threw in more contractual perks like covering expenses for additional hair and make-up.
On Friday, Radziwill tweeted: “I still haven’t decided. Payscale is ridix + it irks me to be given ultimatums.Just ask my last 5 boyfriends.”
Being a housewife isn’t a bad gig! According to OK!, here’s how their salaries break down:
Singer and DeLesseps — $500,000 a season plus bonuses
Morgan — $220,000 a season
Drescher — $200,000 a season
Thomson — $175,000 a season
