Farrelly Brothers Announce DUMB AND DUMBER TO, Carrey and Daniels Set to Reprise Their Roles

Peter Farrelly took to THE NERDIST podcast last week and recorded a special announcement that was released this morning. During his time speaking with hosts Chris Hardwick, Matt Mira and Johah Ray, the THERE”S SOMETHING ABOUT MARY director revealed a story in which he nearly made contact with a UFO in Rhode Island. Then, Farrelly announced that he and his brother were beginning production of a sequel to DUMB AND DUMBER. Farrelly also revealed to “The Talking Dead” host that he would be having a contest via social media Vine, and the winner would get  a speaking role in the movie. This also reveals that the sequel DUMB AND DUMBER TO will begin filming August in Atlanta. Jim Carrey(KICK ASS 2) and Jeff Daniels (“The Newsroom”) will reprise their roles as Lloyd Christmas and Harry Dunne for the actual sequel to the 1994 hit comedy. Following the flop of the prequel that none of the original cast had worked on DUMB AND DUMBERER, Warner Brothers had decided to abandon the project and allow Bobby and Peter Farrelly to shop it to other studios. Universal Pictures will carry the film after agreeing to take the rights from Warner Brothers and New Line Cinema. DUMB AND DUMBER TO will hit theaters next summer according to Farrelly and you can listen to the full podcast here.
