Saturday Night Live started the weekend’s episode with a sendup of the Morning Joe romance that had been the worst kept secret in town.
It’s only been a few days since real-life Morning Joe cohosts Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski announced their engagement, even though folks in the business (and any observant viewer) knew that they were a couple. Kate McKinnon and Alex Moffat took on the characters, with McKinnon’s Mika a great likeness thanks in large part to the super talented hair squad behind the scenes (they literally work just a few floors above the actual Morning Joe studios), and the chemistry portrayed in the sketch was hilarious.
