Tonight is the long awaited, 5th season premiere of Schitt’s Creek here in the U.S and I have been staring at my wig wall for the last three hours trying to find the perfect hairpiece for the occasion.
These days it seems like you can’t scroll through social media without coming across a status, reference or meme based on the popular comedy, and rightfully so. The Canadian sitcom has been growing in popularity exponentially ever since it hit television screens back in 2015. The show follows the Rose family as they lose their fortune and are forced to relocate to the small town of Schitt’s Creek, the only thing they still own. But the show is so much more than that. It’s family quirks. It’s expertly crafted humor. It’s Moira’s accent. It’s catchphrases that will forever be ingrained in our lexicon.
When we last saw the town of Schitt’s Creek, David and Patrick (#RelationshipGoals) agreed to take their relationship to the next level, Ted and Alexis got back together and Jocelyn had her baby boy…who was given the distinguished middle name Moira. Well in tonight’s episodes (as in 2 episode premiere!) Moira hopes to reignite her acting career by accepting a role in a Bosnian film…
And David and Stevie get held up while at Rose Apothecary.
Everybody be cool, this is a robbery.

Needless to say the entire internet is a buzzing with excitement…especially those in Canada who have already seen the premiere. They get Justin Trudeau AND Schitt’s Creek a week sooner than we do?! Unfair.
My favourite time of the week. 🇨🇦 https://t.co/aW9PNEUiKW

With each new episode of @SchittsCreek I fall deeper and deeper in love with Catherine O’Hara. Is this normal? #SchittsCreek pic.twitter.com/kpdX9H06Xh
