Hangover 2 May Get A Facelift After Leaving Theaters.

New developments in the drama over the tattoo (identical to Mike Tyson’s) that graces the face of Ed Helms during the movie. After unsuccessfully suing to stop the tattoo from appearing in the movie without proper compensation, artist S. Victor Whitmill  may succeed in forcing the studio to make changes to the film for its DVD release (unless they pay some major coin, I imagine.)

After using the image without authorization, Warner Bros. “does not intend to make any use of the allegedly infringing tattoo after the film ends its run in the theaters,” (according to TMZ) and might instead rely on computer technology to alter the image for the DVD release of the film.

“If the parties are unable to resolve their dispute, Warner Bros. does not intend to make any use of the allegedly infringing tattoo after the film ends its run in theaters because Warner Bros. will digitally alter the film to substitute a different tattoo on Ed Helms’ face,” the company stated in a court document, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

That’s right. Frame by frame replacement of the Mike Tyson signature pattern with a different, but equally devastating one. That’s an expensive mistake!
