Mind you, when I grew up we didn’t have sawdust and mulch and this clever rubber padding on the ground – we had cement. The slides were 20 feet high and they were shiny reflective metal, which baked to a 110 degree temperature, and you’d slowly burn yourself as you inched your way down to the hard ashphalt. The “Monkey Bars” were dangerous complex, inviting the occasional cracked skull. And we liked it.
