It may have been a while since we’ve heard the word “Anthrax”, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t still a hell of a scare tactic. Just ask “Late Late Show” host Craig Ferguson.
According to the AP and TMZ, Ferguson received a threatening letter at his studio office yesterday, that contained an unknown white powder.
Cops raced to CBS Television City and both of the CBS staffers who were exposed to the letter were quarantined until officials determined the substance was actually cornmeal.
While it may have been scary, that doesn’t mean Ferguson couldn’t joke about the incident, tweeting:
“Ack! Someone mailed my show white powder & claimed it was anthrax. I’m not a big fan of that sort of thing. #thanksFBI&LAPD&LAFD&CBSsecurity.”
Officer Karen Rayner of LAPD media relations told E! News,
“The Major Crimes unit is handling the investigation…The letter did contain some threats directed at Craig Ferguson. They will be working with the FBI and our counterparts in Europe to investigate the crime.”
The late night host also joked about the whole incident during his opening monologue last night. Check out the full video right here, and let’s see if he follows up with anything tonight!
