A large percentage of the country is still in shock at the acquittal of Casey Anthony in her trial for her daughter’s death. Many have been waiting for the first interview with the 25-year-old mother, hoping that it would lead to any answers as to what happened.
Well now, while Casey herself may not be up to speaking just yet, her parents are.
According to MSNBC, George and Cindy Anthony will have their first sit down interview since the trial with non other than Dr. Phil. The doctor already spoke out in a statement, saying that he didn’t pull any punches:
“I looked them straight in the eye and asked them some very tough questions…Despite living under a ‘media microscope’ for years, their story has never really been told and there’s so much more to it than we’ve heard in the media”
McGraw added that “nothing is off limits during this interview.”
George Anthony said the couple chose Dr. Phil because from past interviews, they trusted him with their view:
“We appreciate the way in which Dr. Phil has helped others, and we trust him enough to completely open our hearts in telling our story.”
The interview will air on September 12, when the show returns for a 10th season.
