Katy Perry Reaches A Michael Jackson Milestone.

Katy Perry has equalled a record set by Michael Jackson! Perry is celebrating the fifth number one single off the same album… a record currently only held by Michael Jackson! The singer’s latest track, “Last Friday Night” (T.G.I.F.) joins Teenage Dream, California Gurls, Firework and E.T as number one hits.

Michael Jackson set the original record in 1987 with his album Bad. Jackson got his five number more quickly than Perry, but she has spent longer at the top of the charts.

Oh Yeah… Perry is 26. Her album is “Teenage Dream.”
