Jay-Z has power, and now he’s using that power to bring the New Jersey Nets to Brooklyn!
According to the Washington Post, Rapper (as well as New Jersey Nets part-owner) Jay-Z has announced that the team will officially change its name to the Brooklyn Nets for the 2012-13 season.
The season will be played out in Brooklyn’s new Barclays Center, which will celebrate its opening with a series of eight concerts, including a few from Jay, himself, as well as his wife, Beyoncé.
The franchise is already marketing $15,400 all-access passes to the area. That price tag will get you courtside seats for 44 games, as well as admittance to clubs, free food and first priority on tickets to other events at the arena
