Oh Netflix…you’re starting to learn!

Less than a month after announcing Qwikster, a new separate site to deal with DVD movies, Netflix announced this morning that the entire plan is going out the window.

According to The New York Times, a Netflix spokesperson said, “We underestimated the appeal of the single web site and a single service…We greatly underestimated it.”

While Qwikster is gone forever, Netflix’s price increase remains.  No word on whether the renting of video games will still be pursued.  It had previously announced that it expected about 1 million account cancellations.  That number was not confirmed nor denied in the statement.

Let us take a moment of silence to remember the site that never was…
