R. Kelly enjoys writing and producing films. He’s apparently got 32 more chapters of his Trapped in the Closet series. (Two hours worth of content!) But he’s looking for some money to fund it. Can you help?
Kelly is actually looking for investors to fund telling the offbeat stories of guns, priests, infidelity, hiding in the closet while weird stuff is going on set to music. (It’s basically a very literal R&B opera.) He’s released 22 chapters over two years – making the jump from sound recordings to full-blown mini movies. He even released a DVD in 2007.
He tells TMZ: “Trapped in the Closet is [about] me being silly and not having a job and having nothing else to do, and sitting around in the studio…I’ve always wanted to be a movie director … and [this is] pretty much my movie director seeping out through my music.”
Kelly has asked for some help before, asking his fans to share and show the love for the series, hoping to drum up interest. he offered retweets as evidence of his market potential.
Kelly’s next project is a musical cruise. The Love Letter Cruise carrying fans from Miami to the Bahamas. It sets sail in October of 2012.
